CHARLES

“Pinot Noir, the Holy Grail of red wines. This Charles is my first signature wine, with the Bourgogne 777 variant being its main inspiration.

In its dream terroir on the sun-drenched southern slope along the ancient road in Aldeneik by the Maas, each year, there are a few rows of tiny grapes, with gravel right on the surface. During the exceptionally warm and dry summer of 2018, the flavor became incredibly concentrated and intense. When everything aligns, it results in an enchanting wine that delivers true satisfaction!

This Pinot Noir was crafted with immense care and obsessive perfectionism. After 20 months of aging in Chassin barrels from Rully, Bourgogne, this Charles showcases enticing spicy aromas, rich and exotic with ripe red fruits.

The taste is powerful, thrilling, swirling, and intoxicating, but above all, it’s sensual, indulgent, if I may say so. This is a wine that cannot be boxed in, made only for pleasure-seeking rebels who adore the bouquet and the silky, tactile flavor experience.

Exclusively bottled in magnums, just 981 bottles were made, bearing my (nick)name:

Charles.”
