Just a stone’s throw from the cultural city of Maaseik, on the sun-drenched southeastern slopes along the Meuse, lie the 10-hectare vineyards of Wijndomein Aldeneyck.
With an excellent mineral-rich gravel and limestone terroir for wine grapes, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and three sparkling wines are cultivated with great passion. The beautiful Maas Valley is the lifeblood of this warm and dry part of Limburg.
The warm microclimate and unique stony soil guarantee an elegant and fruity taste with a long finish. Aldeneyck wines have been repeatedly awarded the title of Best Belgian Wine.

VALLEY OF THE MEUSE
The thick layers of gravel and pebbles of the Maas form the foundation for the quality of the Pinot wine grapes.
GRAVEL
For thousands of years, the Maas deposited thick layers of gravel and pebbles along the banks, extending to the middle terraces, with a top layer of warm clay.
The Meuse lakes also provide a heat-buffering effect that is 100% protective against spring frosts and essential for ripening. Due to the south-southeast-facing vineyard slopes, the wine grapes bathe in sunlight from early morning until late evening!
The entire Limburg Meuse Valley between Lanaken and Roermond is now the driest and warmest area in the Benelux. All elements of this exceptional terroir – the dry and warm microclimate, the stony soil, and the south-southeast-facing vineyard slopes – together form the foundation for the quality of all Aldeneyck wines.

Wine tasting

Every Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, you can taste the available Aldeneyck wines using tasting glasses on the wine terrace when the weather is nice, or in our newly renovated wine lounge, comfortably by the fireplace, starting in November.
Our expert team welcomes all wine lovers and provides explanations about the Aldeneyck wines. You can always take a look at the winery, between the inox tanks and oak barrels. The wine shop is also open on these days, and you can take all available Aldeneyck wines home.
It’s more than pleasant every weekend! Reservations are recommended due to high demand.
During the winter period in February, the wine estate is closed.
Guided tours with wine tasting
Under the expert guidance of our wine guides, you will walk through the tasting vineyard, the press house, and the winery, between the inox tanks and barriques. This way, you can discover winemaking in the Meuse Valley up close.
Depending on the time of year, we have different arrangements for the guided tours. Please check our VISIT page for more information.

Gault-Millau Belgian Wine Award
What a moment at the Steigenberger in Brussels! We had the honor of receiving the Gault-Millau Belgian Wine Award 2023.
First in the white wine category with the Aldeneyck Riesling 2019, and later again in the red wine category with the Aldeneyck Charles Pinot Noir 2018. Out of 300 wines, the jury selected 42 wines as Coup de Coeur in a blind tasting, and 18 of these wines were awarded the Belgian Wine Award 2023.
